ISO 14001 and 9001 Certified

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) develops various standards that are recognized worldwide.  Mannington has a variety of operations certified to two of these standards. ISO 14001 is an environmental standard that provides a system for continual improvement in environmental performance.  ISO 9001 is a quality standard that provides a system to continually improve quality to enhance customer satisfaction.

 

 

EPA Award - 2013


Mannington Mills was honored with a SmartWay® Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an industry leader in freight supply chain environmental performance & energy efficiency.  Mannington has been a SmartWay partner since 2010.  Over the past few years, Mannington has shown a steady increase in use of SmartWay carriers and in 2013, nearly all carriers used by Mannington are in the SmartWay program.

 

Green Step Award - Practice/Process Category - 2013


Mannington received the 2013 Floor Covering Weekly GreenStep Award in the Practice & Process category for innovation in recycling.   LOOP™ - the company reclamation & recycling system, along with progressive innovations in multiple cross-plant material sharing & recycling was the subject of the award.  The GreenStep award program recognizes sustainable environmental initiatives throughout the flooring industry & promote those efforts by providing a communications platform to educate the industry as to the extent & scope of these efforts of environmental stewardship.

 

NJ Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award – 2013


The Christie Administration recognized environmental, business, & civic leaders for efforts & commitment to protecting & enhancing the state’s environment.  This is the 13th annual GEEA awards.  Mannington was recognized for year of 2012 in the Healthy & Sustainable Businesses category.  Recognition was for a number of both flooring product & recycling advancements, as well as progressive site stewardship accomplishments.

 

Business & Industry Award - 2012


The Water Resources Association of the Delaware River Basin (WRADRB) awarded Mannington Mills as part of their 30th Annual Recognition Awards.  The recognition was for establishing a partnership with New Jersey Audubon & The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary to implement progressive wildlife enhancements & ecological stewardship efforts that are protective of water quality at their Salem County, NJ headquarters and manufacturing facility.

Engineering Excellence – Distinction Award – 2011


Mannington was publicly recognized by ACEC, the American Council of Engineering Companies as part of their 40th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards .  The awarded project is for the 2010 remedial and wetland restoration project which resulted in improved tidal shoreline, wetlands, and natural habitat with native vegetation.

   

Friends of Education Award - 2010

 
The New Jersey Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development (NJASCD) Friends of Education Award recognizes individuals and corporations outside of education that have played a critical role in contributing toward leadership or quality in education by impacting upon the lives of the children in NJ schools and awarded Mannington for its “Going Green – it’s a Journey” initiative.


GreenStep Award - Promotion category - 2010

 
Mannington received the 2010 Floor Covering Weekly GreenStep Award in the Promotion category for our sponsorship of and participation in the “Going Green” initiative, an outreach program designed to help teachers engage students and staff in activities that encourage conservation, recycling and environmental awareness.

GOOD DESIGN Awards - 2010


The GOOD DESIGN Awards, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies grants international recognition to the world's most prominent designers and manufacturers for advancing new, visionary and innovative products.  Mannington was recognized for The VCT n2 VCT program, a program in which large quantities of VCT are reclaimed and recycled into flooring products. This innovative program, a progressive and significant environmental investment, also includes recycled drywall from landfills and has already prevented millions of pounds of used VCT from being sent to landfill.

Society of Plastics Engineers – Environmental Stewardship Award – 2010


The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) at its Global Plastics Recycling Conference recognized Mannington’s environmental leadership & excellence for VCT n2 VCT efforts.  In an industry first, massive quantities of VCT are being reclaimed and recycled back into product.
